Living In Safe Alternatives, Inc. seeks to hire employees that have the knowledge, skills and abilities to assist the adolescents entrusted to our care in making the best possible choices for themselves while learning the skills necessary to function independently in the community. Candidates seeking employment must possess a personality that demonstrates compassion, warmth and patience to provide a nurturing environment.

Available Positions

Transitional Coach - Plainville, CT (Job ID#10082185): Caring individual needed to work with D.C.F adolescent females in a PASS Group Home at our Plainville location. Duties include behavior management, counseling, life skill and vocational instruction, role modeling, report writing, crisis intervention and recreational activities.

Regular hours: Friday 3:00 pm to 11 pm, Saturday 4:00 pm to ll:00 pm and Sunday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Additional hours optional as needed.

Transitional Living Coordinator - Plainville, CT (Job ID# 10078029): Responsible for the day to day operation in a PASS Group Home at our Plainville location, including, but not limited to, the planning and implementation of daily schedule, daily reporting of program operations to the Director of Group Home Services, assisting and supervising Transitional Coaches, resident case management, monitoring interactions between staff and residents, monitoring behavior system, monitoring therapeutic needs of residents, assisting with the communications between residents and DCF Personnel, assuring safety, structure and consistency for the residents.

Second Shift Position - Wednesday through Saturday

Overnight Awake Transitional Coach - Wolcott, CT (Job ID#10076824): Caring individual needed to work with D.C.F adolescent females in a PASS Group Home at our Wolcott location. Duties include behavior management, counseling, life skill and vocational instruction, role modeling, report writing, crisis intervention and recreational activities.

Regular hours: Sunday through Wednesday, 11pm - 8am. Additional hours optional as needed.

Transitional Coach - Wolcott, CT (Job ID#10078023): Caring individual needed to work with D.C.F adolescent females in a PASS Group Home at our Wolcott location. Duties include behavior management, counseling, life skill and vocational instruction, role modeling, report writing, crisis intervention and recreational activities.

Regular hours: Friday 3:00 pm to 11 pm, Saturday 4:00 pm to ll:00 pm and Sunday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Additional hours optional as needed.

Life Skills Paraprofessional - Waterbury, CT (Job ID#10078032): Caring individual needed to provide transportation, meal preparation, clerical duties, and maintenance of the physical location for a Community BasedLife Skills Program in Waterbury, CT.

This position is 10 hours per week as defined by the needs of the life skills class. Qualifying candidates must possess a Public Safety License prior to hire.
