Residence Inn Marriott furnishes our youth's rooms

The Residence Inn Marriott in Southington extended their generous hospitality to LISA, Inc.!!  During the recent renovation of their Southington location, the hotel donated their home furnishings and decor to help decorate the rooms of our youth.  The stylish and modern pieces included sofas, lounge chairs, desks, chairs, lamps and pictures.  The personal spaces of our young men and women look even more like home thanks to the kindess of our friends at the Residence Inn Marriott. Many thanks to our colleagues at McCabe's Moving and Used Furniture for their muscles in moving the two moving vans worth of furniture!   View Details »

Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation Selects LISA, Inc. As Grant Recipient


Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation recently presented LISA, Inc. with a generous donation of $750 to support the longevity of our programs and services. To commemorate the Foundation's 20th anniversary, they launched "20 Ways in 20 Days" to give back to the community and our agency was one of the proud recipients of their donation initiative!

LISA, Inc Awarded Over $4,000 by the Connecticut Community Foundation to Support Anti-Sex Trafficking Efforts

We are thrilled to announce that the Connecticut Community Foundation has awarded LISA, Inc. with an over $4,000 donation to support anti-sex trafficking efforts. Sex trafficking is a burgeoning issue, especially for youth who grow up in the foster care system. According to the Connecticut Juvenile Justice Alliance, "60 percent of sexually trafficked children come from foster or group homes." This is an issue that LISA Inc. is going to great lengths to combat, and we are truly grateful for the funds provided by Connecticut Community Foundation to support this pursuit. View Details »

LISA, Inc. Awarded $2,500 Grant From Liberty Bank Foundation

We are excited to announce that the Liberty Bank Foundation has awarded LISA, Inc. with a $2500 donation to support Life Skills Programming. LISA, Inc. raises $1,500 during the Give Local event, sponsored by the Connecticut Community Foundation.

Over April 25th and 26th the Connecticut Community Foundation hosted their annual Give Local event. The event "empowers people in the region to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofit organizations during a 36-hour online give-a-thon." LISA, Inc. is thankful to be the recipient of a $1,500 gift due to the generosity of the people in the Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills regions.
